At the forefront of Rare Privilege is Benjamin Marshall, a seasoned pop culture journalist whose career was honed at NYU’s prestigious Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. His time interning at Vogue US under the legendary Anna Wintour, coupled with his role as Features Editor at Vogue Singapore, solidified his position as a force in luxury publishing across the region. His bylines have graced Dazed Korea, Grazia Singapore, Harper’s Bazaar China, and Esquire Philippines.

Rare Privilege began as a personal passion project for Marshall, driven by his desire to fill the gap in luxury media with a focus on high society and opulent lifestyles. As founder and editor-in-chief, he oversees all content, from crafting feature stories to ensuring the editorial calendar captures the pulse of pop culture and luxury trends in Asia. Now, under the banner of New Dawn Rising, Marshall is eager to explore bigger stories, leveraging the expanded team to elevate Rare Privilege to new heights.

Jack Lee may be known for his highly-publicized relationship with supermodel Smith Sy and his ties to South Korea’s political elite, but there’s much more to his story. An accomplished visual artist and model, Lee draws inspiration from the complexities of human connections. His last exhibition, EARTHBORN, catapulted him to the forefront of the Asian art scene, with his evocative works fetching millions.

Initially working behind the scenes, Lee was responsible for shaping Rare Privilege’s minimalist yet elegant visual identity. As Creative Director, he now plays a pivotal role in the magazine’s branding and aesthetics, lending his refined artistic vision to each issue. His transition from model to photographer has also added a new dimension to the magazine, with Lee taking on the role of lead photographer for our monthly covers. His eye for detail and insider perspective ensures that Rare Privilege continues to be a sophisticated reflection of luxury living.
